All of the planning and anticipation is almost at a close. Robin and I will be departing before we know it! We have many exciting things planned for the trip including a photo tour in Edinburgh and another on the Isle of Mull. We are looking forward to seeing some magnificent gardens and immersing ourselves in ancient history, especially while exploring the prehistoric monuments of Kilmartin Glen, Argyll Scotland.
Our friends in Uppsala have planned a very exciting itinerary for us as well! Highlights include Midsummer celebration at the huge outdoor museum Skansen in Stockholm, the scenic village of Tällberg overlooking Lake Siljan,and a cruise of the Stockholm archipelago!
We hope to advance our photography skills and come home with some pretty good photos that will help us remember our remarkable adventure.....and that we can enjoy sharing with all of you on this blog!
We will arrive in Edinburgh on June 9th! A very nice bonus to this trip is a reunion with some of our Journey Anatolia friends (Turkey 2011). Several of them that live in Scotland are meeting us in Edinburgh; it will be so nice to see them again!
